Day 1 – Marble Arch to Dieppe

We’ll meet bright(ish) and early at BRCC HQ – The Mitre Pub in Lancaster Gate. After a quick pre-ride coffee (or something stronger for courage), we’ll spin over to Marble Arch, where the adventure officially begins.

From there, we point our wheels south for Newhaven, taking in the sights, the chatter, and maybe a cheeky pastry stop (or three). By evening, we’ll hop on the ferry to Dieppe, swapping our handlebars for the ship’s bar, and settling in for a well-earned rest.

Day 2 - Dieppe to Beauvais

We start the day in style along the beautiful Avenue Verte—a leafy, traffic-free path that’s so charming it almost makes you forget you’re pedalling. Almost.
As the day rolls on, the scenery gets hillier and the jokes get sillier. We’ll conquer the climbs together and coast into Beauvais, where a comfy bed and hearty dinner await.

Day 3 - Beauvais to Arc de Triomphe

The final stretch! We glide through the French countryside, fuelled by croissants, camaraderie, and the knowledge that the Arc de Triomphe is calling our name.

Rolling into Paris together, we’ll toast our two-wheeled triumph with a celebratory dinner—wine, cheese, and plenty of tall tales about how “it was all downhill” (we promise not to fact-check).

Our Story

In 2016, Stephen Porter thought cycling from London to Paris sounded like a good idea, as part of his recovery following a mid-life crisis kite surfing accident!

He managed to recruit his other half Niamh and the woman who helped get his ankle back working, his phsyio, Natalie and as they say, the rest is history!

Our Support Team

Like the saying goes, behind every great man, there's a woman, well BRCC have the fantastic John and Orli to rally us a long and pick up those who need a little break out of the saddle.

London to Paris 2017

Setting off from a damp Marble Arch in September 2017, this enthusiastic bunch set off on Day 1 to Newhaven to catch the ferry to Dieppe and then Day 2 to Beauvais, followed by Day 3 into Paris to finish at the Arc de Triomphe.

At Bons Rouleurs Cycling Club, we believe that having good banter is a high priority, so a good mix of males and females hopefully balances things out on the road and in the bar!
